Skin Biopsy

Most routine skin disorders will need a thorough examination and history taking. We also perform Dermoscopy and trichoscopy examination, however certain cases may need a skin biopsy.

Skin biopsy is a simple outpatient procedure where our Dermatologist will take a small tissue (about 3 to 4mm) sample from the suspected skin lesion with a disposable punch. The procedure is performed after a local anaesthetic and is relatively simple, quick and painless.

The collected sample is processed for histopathological analysis and examined under a microscope. The test results will help in -
