Dermaroller

After cleansing the skin, a thick layer of cream is applied on the entire face and left on for an hour. This ensures that the procedure is comfortable. Once numb, the skin is prepared by cleansing with an antiseptic solution and spirit. This ensures that there is no infection during the procedure.

During each session, a new, single use, disposable dermaroller is used. We will choose the length of the needles depending on the skin thickness and the depth of scars.

Needle lengths from 0.25 to 1mm reach only the outer layer of the skin (epidermis) and are great to enhance penetration of certain serums. However, they are not of much help to address scarring as most scars are much deeper than 1mm. A needle length of 1.5 to 2.5mm is more appropriate for the treatment of scars. As the dermaroller rolls on the skin, it gently pricks the skin creating thousands of microwounds. As a result our skin starts a process of wound healing. During this process, we release a lot of internal growth factors, all leading to production of more collagen. The new collagen is laid down over weeks, resulting in softening and smoothing of the scars. The other benefit is overall improvement in skin texture, hydration, pores and tone.

During the process of dermarolling, we also use targeted meso-solutions containing actives like vitamin c, hyaluronic, peptides, growth factors etc. These effectively penetrate the skin through the micro channels created by the dermaroller, ultimately enhancing the results of your session.
